New River Inn

I have reserved a bunch of rooms at the New River Inn at Oak Hill, WV. It's the best game in town, is located between the wedding site and the reception site, and they gave us a group rate. Plus it's a nice place.

They don't have a website that I've found, so just give them a call and say you are with the Howard-Dash wedding. You should get the discount rate of $67.70 per night, which includes tax, but you must reserve your room before May 13th. Their number is (304) 465-0010. You should have this information already on your very own invitation.

Babcock State Park

Don't want to spend that much money? Cheapskate! Your cheap option is to come up and camp. Babcock State Park is just a few miles from the reception site, so that's the best place around. A site without electricity will cost $17.00 per night.

They take reservations, so give a call at (304) 438-3004. You should have this number with your invitation. The website address is http://www.babcocksp.com. They have some great looking cabins available for weekly rent if you plan to stay that long. I don't know if they lock the gates at night, so if you plan to stay there, make sure to check.

Ponderosa Lodge

We have reserved the entire lodge for the wedding weekend. Terry and I will be staying there with our parents and a few other family members. If you recieved an invitation to stay at the lodge, we hope you will accept. There are a few things you will need to know.

1. Don't carpool with anyone staying elsewhere (possible exception of Babcock State Park).

2. The lodge has no cribs. If your child needs a crib, bring one along.

3. The animals on the walls and mantel probably won't pounce, but be prepared just in case.

4. Your kids will be staying in the room with you.

5. We will have the big giant popcorn machine for the whole weekend!
