The drive from the airport to the New River Inn will take about an hour.

Take I-64 E (I-77 S) to exit 60, Bishop Ranch. Turn left onto Bishop Ranch, then Right onto WV-612 (Mossy-Oak Hill Rd., Paint Creek Rd.) Turn Left onto US-19 N. The New River Inn is located about 12 miles on your left at the Fayette Landing shopping center, near the K-Mart.

If you are coming directly to the Ponderosa Lodge (you know who you are) or plan to camp
at Babcock State Park, the drive will take about an hour and 45 minutes.

Take I-64 E (I-77 S) about 14 miles to Admiral TJ Lopez Br. Take Admiral TJ Lopez Br ramp.
Turn Right onto US-60 E. Continue on US-60 about 50 miles. The Ponderosa Lodge is on your right about 13 miles past Hwy 19. It is at Midland Trail mile marker 67.

Driving

*If you are driving, you should get a map. These are web directions to be taken with a grain or two of salt.

From Raleigh: Take I-40 to Winston-Salem. Exit onto Hwy 52 N. After Pilot Mountain, get onto I-74 W. This will merge onto I-77. Take I-77 N into Virginia. Stay on I-77 through Virginia into West Virginia. Take HWY 19 N at Beckley.

***At Beckley, merge onto Hwy 19 N. Go until you reach the New River Inn, on the left at Oak Hill, WV in the Fayette Landing shopping center, near K-Mart.

From New England: Get on I-81 S and keep driving until you hit I-64 at Waynesboro, VA. Turn West. If you are going directly to the Ponderosa Lodge (you know who you are), past Lewisburg, WV take the Sam Black Church exit onto Hwy 60 W. Turn right onto US 60 W. Continue 24 miles to the Lodge, 7 miles west of Rainelle, at mile marker 67 on the Midland Trail (another name for hwy. 60).

If you are staying at the New River Inn, continue on I-64 W to Beckley. See ***

From Atlanta: Take I-85 N to I-77 at Charlotte. Head up I-77 to Beckley, WV. See ***.

To get to the Ponderosa Lodge, continue on Hwy 19 N. After crossing the big bridge,
turn right onto Hwy 60 E. Go 13 miles. The lodge is on the right.

From Wisconsin: Get to Columbus, OH and take a S onto I-77. After you merge with I-64 E, take exit 60. Turn left onto Bishop Branch Road. Turn Right onto WV Rte 612. Follow that to Hwy 19. Turn left onto Hwy 19; The New River Inn is on your left at Oak Hill, WV in the Fayette landing shopping center, near K-mart.

To Dunglen Recreation Area (aka wedding site)

Take Hwy 19 South from the New River Inn. Turn Left onto Rte 25 at the National River Headquarters sign. Continue on 25 until you reach a fork in the road at the New River. Turn right. Dunglen shelter will be on your left. Overflow parking is located at Southside Junction/Depot parking area at Rte 25.

To the Ponderosa Lodge (aka reception site)

From the New River Inn, take Hwy 19 N. After crossing the big bridge, turn right onto Hwy 60 E. The lodge is located on the right, 13 miles past the Hwy 19 interchange, at mile marker 67 on the Midland Trail.
